How to measure micro structured surfaces on larger components

The IF-Portable is an optical 3D measurement device used to measure form and roughness of also larger components. The standard configuration allows the high resolution measurement of surface fields of up to (mm) 50x50x26. Typically, the system is used for near and/or in production quality assurance. As an easy to handle and portable system it is a flexible measurement station which can be used wherever it is needed.

A key feature is the integrated revolving nose piece to change objectives and measurement resolution. This increases measurement precision as each objective is pre-calibrated, avoiding error-prone readjustment or recalibration processes. Also, easy automation of measurements increases process reliability, production efficiency and usability.

A large vertical scanning range enables the measurement of various geometry types and forms. Amongst others, a key application is platen inspection in print industry. Further fields of use are the measurement of turbine or rotor blades, steel and body type surfaces. Users achieve traceable measurements in high repeatability.
